Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted September 6, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted September 6, 2011 This fellow walked in 50 weeks out from 2700 grafts to rebuild his frontal 1/3. Shown are intraop pics, 1 week, 1 month and current pics. I think he still has a little more thickening to go. His scar is virtually undetectable and with that wirey, unkempt, hairstyle, he is an ideal patient. Left to my own preferences, I’d have brought that hairline down another inch, but he was really concerned about too big of a change OR a bad result low on his forehead. Like most guys however, he was fairly frustrated at 6 months when nothing was happening…except fighting tropical diseases in Southeast Asia so he couldn’t come by for reassurance. He said things started to grow only a few months ago…so I think he’s a bit slower filling in than the average. Unfortunately his travels rarely allow him to stop by, but perhaps we’ll get more pics next summer. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Senior Member Mp96 Posted September 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2011 Scar looks great as usual. Surgical pics are very nice to see, it shows how much is involved when a person is being stripped..!!!!!
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted September 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2011 Dr. Lindsey, Thank you for sharing this detailed case. The work looks quite refined! Nicely done. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted September 14, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 14, 2011 Thanks. That thick wirey hair makes it almost impossible not to get a decent result. I'd still have pushed for a little lower hairline and I would like a picture in a few months, but the way this fellow travels, its unlikely I'll see him anytime soon. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
