Bill - Seemiller
Moro, Do a search for "scar repair" on this forum and you'll find an abundance of information on reducing the appearance of an existing strip scar. The good news is, there are usually options available to help reduce the appearance of a previous hair transplant scar. However, it can never be truly eliminated. Typically scar repair surgery consists of excising the old scar and re-sealing the wound with the latest techniques in hopes that it will heal better and smaller. Risks of scar stretching do exist and are sometimes outside of a physician's control. An alternative surgical method to reduce the appearance of an existing strip scar is to consider FUE - extracting follicular units one at a time and placing them in the scar to help camouflage it. Are you considering scar repair surgery? Best wishes, Bill
Regular Member moro Posted August 23, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 23, 2010 Bill, thanks for responding. Yes I am considering repair surgery. I won?t go for a HT or FUE again, I?m only looking to get the donor scar to a aceptable level and shave my head to zero. What kind of procedure would you recomend? I live in NYC, do you know anybody in the area? Thanks, Moro.
