What is going on with Nizoral?

Haven't been able to find the 1% on the shelves in the Austin area for a couple of months. Recently got a prescription for the 2% and asked the pharmacist if she knew why they've been out of stock of the 1%. She said that they've re-routed the distribution of the Nizoral supply to the tornado stricken region because they've had an outbreak of some sort of fungal infection going on since the storms.

Not sure of the validity of that explanation, but that's what she mentioned anyways.... there's always someone on ebay that's going to clean house on a situation like that I suppose.

If you want 1 % keto. You can might aswell buy revitas shampoo it also contains a lot of other products that should promote health for ones hair. Biotin MSM etc.

1 mg Finasterid M-W-F.

2,500 mcg Biotin.

1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day.

Multi-vitamin.

Fish oil.

Head and Shoulders every day.

Nizoral 2 % one time a week.

Emu oil.

When referring to the 'big 3', are they talking about the 1% or 2% though? Just started on the 2% - seems like it's working well but need a good conditioner that can moisturize the scalp a little better.

The big three I've always heard are Monoxidil, finasteride, and nizoral. But with the nizoral it's for the keto, so if revita has that plus other hair healthy products I'm wondering why it's not considered one of the big 3?

Well the 2 % does prevent better inhibition of DHT. So thats why people are recommending Nizoral over Revita. But it you dont get it prescribed by a doctor and get the 2 % shampoo but only use the 1 % shampoo i think that Revita is a better choice.

1 mg Finasterid M-W-F.

2,500 mcg Biotin.

1 mg 5 % Minoxidil once a day.

Multi-vitamin.

Fish oil.

Head and Shoulders every day.

Nizoral 2 % one time a week.

Emu oil.

Thanks for the info cardel..... got my script filled at walgreens for the 2%. It's a smaller bottle and they filled it with the generic ket versus nizoral (I have to request name brand with my insurance). Got it filled the day after my procedure. Need to go look at the receipt since I was kind of dazed for a day or two after the surgery from the vicodine, but seem to remember it being north of 20 bucks for the bottle.

Anyone know who has the best prices for the 2% (generic/or name brand)? I've heard costco has really good prices in their pharmacy but have yet to make it over there.

I was unaware of a Nizoral shortage. Walmart here had it in stock yesterday.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D
