Regular Member chickendinna Posted June 16, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted June 16, 2011 Just wondering what people here think the average and very satisfactory width would be for a tricho closure. 1. Great scar width? 1mm? 2. Average scar width? 3mm? Thanks.
Senior Member aseda1979 Posted June 16, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted June 16, 2011 It depends on scalp laxity, I dont know but it seems to be 1mm http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1989

Regular Member chickendinna Posted June 18, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 18, 2011 I think that article is more related to the donor width. I was referring to the scar width after surgery.
Dr. Glenn Charles
You would need to consider scalp laxity, donor strip width, and wound closure/suturing technique used. Whether or not the patient has had prior surgery also makes a big difference.
