My fue surgery was done with a 1 mm punch by a bad surgeon and I could still shave my head to a blade 1 and sometimes used a blade 1/2 which I shaved once a week. not even 1 single person ever noticed my donor extraction. I could see if I used 2 mirrors but that's from very close and I knew what I was looking for.

My thoughts are if you use a top surgeon with .8mm punch scattered over a big space there would be no chance anyone noticing scarring with a blade 1 buzz. Mine was noticeable to me because I had 800 removed from a 4 inch by 1 inch rectangle donor area with the big 1 mm punch. Fue heals very fast I'd say I was shaving to a blade 1 only 3 months after the ht and a blade 2 covers the donor comfortably straight after surgery but it takes about 2 weeks after surgery for your hair to grow to blade 2 length from the blade 0 that the surgeon cuts your hair down to.
