Regular Member A8TYF Posted May 11, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted May 11, 2011 Hi friends, I wanted to ask if anyone here has had any experiences with the effects of a hair transplant over longer periods of time and the effect of further hairloss of both the native and transplanted hair. Does a hair transplant look weird 5-10 years after you’ve got it done??
Regular Member Frank Posted May 11, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted May 11, 2011 A8TYF: I had my first HT in 2004 and have had 2 additional HTs since then to thicken up my hair. All the transplanted hairs to my knowledge are still growing. As for native hairs...I didn't really have much left to lose. I am very happy with it long term. Frank 3 HT’s with Dr. Steven Gabel 2004- 2,855 grafts 2007- 2,789 grafts 2010- 2,010 grafts View my hair restoration site
Senior Member RCWest Posted May 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted May 12, 2011 The transplanted hair grows for life unless it is taken outside the safe zone or you develop senile alopecia in your later years. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
