I really didn't notice a diffrence from 4 to 5 months. I know people say more hair comes in matures and thickens but the hair that has grown in do look like they are just as mature as the native hair. I am very happy with the way it is coming along.

I just want to note no work was really done on the vertex and my hair is longer than my 4 month photos.

Hey bro, looking good for 5 months post-op.

I see definite growth and improvement. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that your hair is wet or has some type of product in it in these photos. If possible, post some photos of your hair dry, freshly washed, without any type of product in it.

Remember, that with only 2,500 grafts for a NW4, you took the conservative route. So don't expect to have hair like Elvis your first time around. However, based on the growth cycles that I have seen, I'd say you're right on track and should be looking completely different by 10 months post-op. Your growth is definitely steady.

It must seem like an eternity for you, but hang in there... I'm right there with you buddy.

Trust me I'm not complaining. I just mean that I think all my hair shafts look the same diameter, no baby hairs. I hope some new ones pop up in the coming months. I have gel in my hair and when it dryes I just brush out the top and leave the sides and back alone to give it the illusion of a more even look. Thanks for the encouragement. I know I'm not working with much and have realistic goals.

I'd say you're pre op state shows a N5a and I've got almost the same pattern as you. I use wax instead of gel so it doesn't look even thinner. Gel just makes the scalp even more see through, just a thought. I can see some growth, hang in there, it'll come. I'm due surgery later in the year

Good luck to you man. I bought Axe brand wax and it was real clumpy. How do you use it?

fine, feels totally back to normal. The scar is faint but you can see it with a #3 buzz. I hope more hair will grow through the scar and if it lightens up it will be less noticable. The closure was regular not trichophytic closure.

joeyz400,

Thanks for updating us. You should have plenty more growth to come.

I haven't used Axe brand wax but I'm a fan of styling was. Currently I'm using Fx brand. They key is not to use too much start with just a little, you can always add more.

Best of luck!
