Regular Member Frdtrtnv8 Posted April 25, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 25, 2011 I am coming up on 10 weeks post op, 1600 grafts FUT. Is it safe to cut my hair now without doing any damage to the grafts? My hair is outragously long, and want to cut it. Not really a question but a comment, the pimples are everywhere on my head, dont really hurt, but they look unattractive.
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted April 25, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted April 25, 2011 Cutting the hair won't hurt the grafts. But check out the pimples to make sure you don't have follcilitis. That could damage the grafts. But a few pimples are common around this time. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted April 26, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted April 26, 2011 Frdtrtnv8, As aaron has already stated, feel free to cut your hair at this point. There is no chance of damaging your grafts. Pimples in the recipient area are indicative of new growth starting below the skin but check with your hair transplant physician to be sure.
