Concealer Post HT

Recently Jotronic posted an example of a patient who had complications with his HT from using Dermatch post-op. Can anyone who has used concealers post-op (Dermatch, Toppik, etc.) please share their experience with them? Thanks!

Hairthere,

Definitely an important point of clarification necessary here: the case Jo was referring to was a patient who used a makeup type concealer, NOT a Toppik/dermmatch type concealer post transplant. You can read the post here at the Hair Loss Q & A blog and watch the accompanying video, but this situation was caused by a makeup concealer product, not from a sprinkle type concealer.

Hey Future, I was under the impression that Dermatch is a "make-up type" concealer. You apply it with a foam applicator directly to the scalp. It does also thicken the appearance of the hair shafts, though. perhaps Jotronic can chime in here to clarify the exact type of concealer used?

At any rate, if any of the vets can provide feedback about any types of concealers they have used post-op, please do. Thanks!

Hairthere,

You're right, Jo did specifically mention Toppik, but not dermmatch, and while dermmatch is more of a "makeup type" application, I thought his post was specifically referring to an individual who used facial makeup on the scalp. We'll try to get him in here to clarify. Also, thank you for bringing this up. It's definitely important to make sure we're discussing the right products here.
