jay2010
If I don't say anything other people can make the same mistake I did. Not big on posting but I had a horrible experience with a place I found on line. There website was "doctorhairtransplant.com" and there price was very affordable at 2 dollars a graft. Not only did they hack the back of my head up pretty bad but was told by two other doctors that they cut it in the wrong place all together. The picture of there building on the website is not the building there located at. It's in a small shopping mall. There were small warning signs not to get it done but I already flu down to florida from Pennsylvania and shook it off because I was really nervous. I was told for my hair loss I would only need at most 500 grafts before I flue down. When I got there they told me I need 1500 throughout the front of my head to thicken all of my hair up. Well my hair is no thicker at all. The receeding hair line is no better. There is no way 5 transplant per centimeter would ever fill anything. They put the hair line down too low which makes it look like I lost a lot more hair than I did. One side is higher than the other side. Other doctors told me they wouldn't even touch me because my hair loss wasn't bad enough yet. They are hacks and I really need to find a doctor that can fix this mess. I now have to where a hat everytime I leave my house and I won't go anywhere I can't wear one. If anyone has a good doctor they recommend I will check them out. Need to fix this mess. Regular Member Thanos60 Posted March 12, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted March 12, 2011 wow, thats got to be the worst looking website advertising hair transplant/cosmetic surgery procedures i have ever seen. from the pictures of the buildings, patients, even the picture of the medical degrees in frames . something about it looks scary rather than comforting.... Senior Member Michael5577 Posted March 13, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2011 Did you do any research at all before going to this place?
Senior Member mattj Posted March 13, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 13, 2011 Do you have photos you can share? From what you said ("5 transplant per centimeter") it sounds like you might have received some sort of dated plug or 'minigraft' procedure. How long ago did you have the transplant? Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted March 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 14, 2011 Jay, If you're considering a second hair transplant procedure, I highly suggest reviewing our recommended hair restoration physicians. Additionally, let me know if you would like some assistance adding photographs (to your social profile or a hair loss weblog) or if you have any additional questions. Good luck! Regular Member runman Posted March 14, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted March 14, 2011 Jay im very sorry about your experience with this doctor. Unfortunately south Florida is a haven for butcher cosmetic surgeons. I have lived in Miami for 12 years now and i have seen butcher jobs like you would not believe. I work at a hospital in Miami that does alot of repair work on patients that have been butcher in Broward and Palm beach counties. First and foremost you must be welling to travel to get a good Hairtransplant result. Choosing a surgeon based on local is asking to get butchered. Yes i know from experience. Please o please do at least 6 months of hard core research before going for repair work. Best wishes Carl Counts
