Regular Member danne Posted February 26, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 26, 2011 Hi guys!!! I am almost 4 weeks post op (hairtransplant). Today i took a shower and washed my hair under strong showerhead (high water pressure/little bit stronger than usual). After that i saw blood running (bleeding) from one graft site. I put a little bit of toilettpaper on it and stopped the bleeding. Now I can see a hair or two sticking out from this bleeding graft site surrounded by some blood which has now coagulated. My question is did I lose this graft or not? I am as already mentioned almost 4 weeks post op. My op was 28 of january 2011 and today when everything happened is 26 of february 2011. I would be very thanfull for your answers!!! Best regards!!! Danne
Senior Member hairthere Posted February 27, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2011 There is no way you did any damage to them at 4 weeks post-op. The only way you could remove them at that point would be to surgically punch them out. Regular Member Gin0rm0usF0rehead Posted February 27, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2011 No worries. I too experienced that weeks after my surgery. I thought it was strange to bleed, but it was only a couple of times and hasnt happened since.
Dr. Glenn Charles
Really unlikely that the follicle could be dislodged 4 weeks after the procedure. It was more likely that a scab was forced off by the water pressure which caused the bleeding.
