Started minoxidil on the 20th and proscar(1.25mg) from the 21st. having erection problems(no early morning erections and surely not as strong as it was). too early/psychological or a real side effect? Regular Member Dv Posted January 26, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted January 26, 2011 I used to take 1.25 finasteride but I wasn't happy with the side effects either and stopped. I decided to try it again on advice of Dr True, at .5mg this time, and so far, everything is great. No side effects but my crown has definitely thickened up. Regular Member magicaltimes Posted January 26, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 26, 2011 mailed my doc about this. he's asked me to stop for a week, and then continue taking 1.25mg every other day for around 2-3weeks, if i still have side effects, he has asked to reduce the dosage to 1mg, if i still have any, he has asked me to completely stop it. Not really about testosterone, just the way your body is affected. My testosterone is high; above 700, but still affects me. I know other guys who are the opposite with no effect.
