Senior Member AdamAJ Posted January 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 14, 2011 How soon can you use it after a transplant? I read somewhere the radation and uv raylight might be bad for the hair....any advice? Does it speed up growth using it after a transplant compared to not using it? Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted January 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 14, 2011 Adam, This is a pretty hot topic. If you use the forum's search feature you will find quite a bit of debate regarding laser hair therapy. I would say that most agree that lasers do not do much for the hair cosmetically speaking. However, they may expedite healing after surgery. You can use the laser 10 days post surgery. Senior Member gillenator Posted January 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 14, 2011 I also am a skeptic regarding laser combs in general. If you do choose to use one post-op, be sure to follow your doctor's advice. I would think that most will want to be sure your epidermis is completely healed.
