Mouse08
Hi All, Don't let my profile picture fool ya, I use the side sweep to cover my thinning on top. Check out my album pics. It seems to run in the family because I have a sibling who is looking into getting on Propecia. I'm currently researching my options and so far I'm leaning towards the FUE procedure. I'm from Illinois so any advise on Dr's would be great. I think my journey will begin with Dr Raymond Konior after viewing patient results and blogs. Any women with any advise would be appreciated. Age 43. Started about 10yrs ago maybe earlier. Females (cousins) on my fathers side all the same. Thanks.
Regular Member Goldilocks Posted December 21, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Welcome to the forums. While I have not experience hair loss per say, I have had transplants to fix the shape of my hairline which I had always hated. (I had fronto-temporal recessions that seem to run in my family Grrr!) Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and that I hope you are able to achieve your hair restoration goals. Edited June 2, 2011 by Goldilocks
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted December 21, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2010 Mouse, I think you've made an excellent decision considering Dr. Konior for your procedure. Additionally, feel free to research all our Chicago-land based recommended hair transplant surgeons. I also suggest utilizing the forum search function and researching some of the excellent cases that have been performed on female patients over the years. In most cases, the results are very natural and aesthetically pleasing. Finally, I do recommend researching some of the preventive hair loss medications available for females, specifically female minoxidil. Good luck!
