Senior Member YouOnlyLiveOnce Posted December 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 4, 2010 At present it is still very thin. The good thing is @ 6 months you're only at the beginning of the transformation, so hopefully in the coming months the improvements will be drastic. I'm surprised you didn't try for a bigger session considering your level loss. Was 2600 the max your donor could provide?
Senior Member Sparky Posted December 5, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2010 6 months post op only equals 3 months of growth, and as the grafts are all in different stages of telogen, they won't all come through at the same time. Senior Member PD Posted December 7, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted December 7, 2010 YouOnlyLiveOnce, Thanks for your input.. i understand most of it should be grown by 6-8month, although it will continue to grow up until 1 yr. I was not prepared to go with larger surgery, was a bit worried about the scar, should the loss progress over the next 10 yrs and I had to shave. Just keeping my options open here... The doc actually tried to get 3000 but could only get 2600. thanks. Disclaimer: I am not a qualified medical professional nor do i work for any doctor, hence these are my personal and honest views.
