Senior Member Fingers Crossed Posted July 13, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2010 spex, when does the kinkiness start to subside (on average)? I'm almost 6 months post-op and I notice the right side is still kinky. My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Hasson
Liberty
I have some kinky hairs too. While not all of my hairs are kinky, there are a few scattered. I noticed most of the kinky hairs came from my 1st surgery. For me, these kinks have taken about 16 months to smooth out. Although not all of the kinks are smoothed....most are. I have read it can take a few hair growth cycles for them to work out the kinks and grow normal. Considering the length of my few kinky strands, I can tell they are still in hair growth cycle 1. I hope yours begin to smooth out also. I have a picture of my kinky strands posted in my album "random" I trimmed these off for the picture. Senior Member irishsailor Posted October 20, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 20, 2012 My hair calibre is alot different on the sides and back of my head than it is on top. Im abit of a hybrid Even though i still have a kink in my hair on the front third that was transplanted its still the same calibre as the hair in the donar supply that was extracted, it just a little different to the hair i had on top.
