Senior Member RCWest Posted July 4, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 4, 2010 Hi all! Newbie here. I've had 4 small procedures done, between 1992-1994. The hair growth is fine, but the grafts themselves are still slightly pink. Does this mean I'm Histamine positive? Has anyone else had this phenomenon? It seems to be pretty rare. Is there anything that can be done about it? Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Bill - Seemiller
RCWest, Are you sure your scalp is pink fro the hair transplants? Did you ever report this to your hair transplant surgeon back in the day? If so, what did he/she say? Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member RCWest Posted July 5, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 5, 2010 Hey Bill! I am sure the pink is from the grafts. My skin was perfectly white before the surgeries. Almost everywhere that there is a 3 or 4 hair graft, it's pink, but only the plug itself is pink, not the surrounding tissue. The 1 and 2 hair grafts in the hairline did not do this. Dr. Wolf did the surgeries when he was starting out in the hair restoration field.
