Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted May 18, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 18, 2010 This nice fellow was our first black FUE, done on Christmas eve 2009. He stopped in for a check and will have a second procedure this summer. Like about 1 in 3 of our FUE patients, it really doesn't look like he shed much and he's grown pretty well. Coincidentally he came in at the same time as the postop check of another fellow who had just had the exact same procedure 10 days previously. He obviously has a little longer hair now, but states that even at 2 weeks, he could come off of concealer for his scar. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted May 18, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted May 18, 2010 Dr Lindsey, Thank you for the updates! The work looks excellent, and it appears as if the patient received nice coverage from the initial follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure. I'm curious, is he having more follicular units placed into the scar or into a different area during the "summer" procedure? Well done! Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted May 21, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 21, 2010 We are doing a smaller FUE on the front next week for this fellow. I'll put up pertinent pics in June. Interestingly, this fellow called up with a bump on his forehead that was clearly a cyst a few weeks ago when I took these pics. But, like most of the patients that I have taken cysts out of, he's never had any work in that area. The cyst was removed and he'll have had about a month before we FUE the frontal, so that any vascularity compromise from the cyst excision will be gone. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H.
