My donor line still has some scabs left on it and if I pick them I feel it will bleed, also not to mention the urge of itching, combined with a touch of tender feeling and numbness. Bill - Seemiller Posted April 24, 2008 Share Posted April 24, 2008 Abby, Very normal! I believe I had the occasional scab form on the donor scar up to several months, maybe 6. It will also periodically itch. Most likely what is happening is that hairs are pushing their way through causing the itch, this combined with normal healing.
