Bill - Seemiller
Healthyliving, Today's hair transplants are so natural that even hairstylists can't even detect them. In many cases, this goes for the scar too. Scars are typically minimal with ethical surgeons using up to date techniques however, surgical risks exist even in the best hands. All surgery will leave some type of scarring, and hair transplantation is no exception. The scar "type" will depend ultimately on which technique you choose, follicular unit hair transplantation (FUT) or follicular unit extraction (FUE). Those who undergo follicular unit hair transplantation need to be clear that shaving your head entirely is no longer an option unless you don't mind a visible scar. Shaving the head entirely may even result in visible FUE scars. Best wishes, Bill
