Implantation of synthetic hair causes problems... BUT

Well, when I cut my hair after it's grown long, sometimes I play with what I've cut off and place it on my balding areas. It don't look bad.

Since synthetic hair is rejected usually by our bodies... Why not just grow out our own hair to a length we'd like, cut it, then insert it into areas we'd like to fill?

Is this possible?

"But if they can create synthetic hair, why not cut off hair and implant it... "

Hair is a living part of you. After you cut it off, then it is not attached to the follicule and thus will decay. I see what you are saying but it is just not a viable option because

1) it will not grow

2) it will, literally, decompose on your head.
