Regular Member cw1 Posted March 18, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted March 18, 2006 Hi, just wondering if there is any concensus on when shockloss occurs. Is it hours days or weeks after procedure. I am two days post op and have not noticed any more hair falling out. Does it happen everyone?

Guest bro66
It doesnt happen to everyone. I only had shock loss around the donar area within a couple of weeks after my HT.

Personally, I noticed it between 2-3 weeks my last HT, but, I've heard of those who experience it later.....say 1-2 months after the HT. I experienced it for both HT's in the recipient area, but only the first HT in the donor area. I suspect the 2nd HT surgeon did a better job extracting the donor strip and on closure. Regular Member hrthr Posted March 20, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted March 20, 2006 I have had alot of shock loss in the recipient area. Most of mine was from around 3 to 6 weeks. I think most is over. I am hoping most comes back with the transplanted hair.
