  1. Honestly, get an IN person consult with your donor hair. Your expectations should be moderate at best for coverage. Shave your head first to see if you like and can live with it. If you can live with it save your money and get on with your life. If you can't, at least you will know what you are giving up.
  2. OK, I really have enjoyed this thread, sorry if it is really off subject. Yes, I too am divorced and if anyone tells you its a man's world has never been divorced. Mark, Troy thanks for making me laugh. My life (other than my screwed up head) is going actually pretty well post divorce. Dating at any age is frightening. Troy, hey kind off makes me want to be 30 something again. Again thanks, funny stuff.
  3. I think he is a nice and ethical guy. BUT, although I am at 8 1/2 months my results are very disappointing (my opinion). I don't know what else to say, I think I will have some additional thickening of what has grown, but my overall assessment is this was a very poor job. Lots of shock loss and poor growth. There is no second place in theis business you either hit a home run or not. I am now in the position of trying to figure out what to do next.
  4. Wow this all sounds very familiar, I too went to Dr. Lehr in Feb of this year. I am 8 1/2 months post op and in my opinion look MUCH worse. Poor growth and lots of shock loss. Yes, I think you are early but in my opinion should see much better results for that kind of graft count.
  5. Yes, part of the reason I chose Lehr was he was recommended on this site. I am not sure what to make of this, I have lots of miniturized hairs but don't know if they are transplanted hairs coming in or weak existing hair going out. I am VERY unhappy with the results. I don't know what I am going to do. Any advise?
  6. I have taken the proscar consistantly since December.
  7. I started proscar in December about 2 months prior to transplant. Dr. Lehr has refunded my money and doesn't have a good explanation for what happened.
  8. OK,gang I am 8 months post op with Lehr. I had 2650 fu's via strip and it is a disaster. Lots of shock loss and very little growth. You can see my blog and compare pics. I am considering a second surgery or just shaving to a #2 and getting on with my life. I am considering Shapiro, H&W and Feller. I don't need a mega session but a good going over for density. HELP!

  10. OK, here is my 2 cents worth. Its a business and a very good one for these folks. I think the fee is unusual based upon the posts I have seen but again the issues expressed was the online consult (or lack thereof).
  11. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, DO NOT GET A FLAP.
  12. Well hummmm, this kind of discussion is the reason I come back to this forum. I had a rather "small" procedure of 2650 grafts about 7 months ago. I don't think I am going to see the kind of density I am looking for BUT, I had quite a bit of native hair in the area transplanted. So it stands to reason that perhaps a conservative approach was the way to go. I DREAD another surgery, so understand the reason for a larger one pass surgery. Was I a good canidate for one, probably not. At the end of the day, I am interested in a fantasic result not $4,000.00 one way or another. This will affect how I look and feel for the rest of my life. I really see and understand both sides of the equation. I do appreciate all the interst and passiion this subject seems to generate as it has made me a better patient/consumer of this type or surgery. Cheers
  13. 4 1/2 months is way too early. Six months before you see any significant growth and even then the hair itself is VERY thin. I am at 7 and 1/2 months and have some cosmetic improvement but think its going to need another pass before I have the kind of density on the hairline I am looking for. The hair itself is still very thin so I am hoping the hair will thicken over the next 5 months. cheers.
