marcus31
Hi everyone. i am in the uk and have recently had a consultation at the FUE clinic and was after some advice on Theodoros Vernikos. I was advised that I would need 750 grafts at a cost of ??3,750. Is this a reasonable price? I know FUE is more expensvie than strip but didnt know it was this costly. The FUE clinic is in Solihull, has anybody been there and what was your experience with Dr Theodoros Vernikos. I have read some posts on this forum about a surgeon with the same name working for Norton which doesnt seem to have a good name, is this the same guy? Sorry for all the questions but just looking for lots of advice before committing to this!!
Senior Member lorenzo Posted February 10, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 10, 2009 Thats really expensive in my opinion. 750 is not alot of grafts. You need to research alot more and check out this site. I have not heard of Dr Theodoros Vernikos but have heard of Norton Clinic and rather keep my opinion to myself. Stay patient and keep looking until you are 100% sure all your opinions. Remember there is only one thing worse than going bald that is recieveing a bad transplant. Representative for Hasson & Wong. Senior Member Leeson Posted February 10, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 10, 2009 Never heard of him. His prices seem compared to top-notched docs, except I've NEVER heard of your guy. Your head, you have to live with it, so same prices for unknown result or same price for coalition doc. (downside is travel. reimbursed travel fare (usually)). It seems everyone from the UK is traveling across the pond for HT. This should tell you something! My Hair Loss Website - Dr. Hasson
Senior Member Eman Posted February 10, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 10, 2009 Marcus- Click on the 'Find a Surgeon' at the top left of this page and you will be able to find top notch doctors recommended by not only this site but many members who have been to those docs. The only one in the UK that is recommended here is the Farjo Medical Centre. There are a couple of other clinics throughout Europe that do great work as well, but look through the list of coalition docs recommended here. That should be your starting point My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
Senior Member richie48 Posted February 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2009 hey marcus I'm from the UK and afyer 2 years of research went to Dr Feller , below is a link to my 15 month update http://hair-restoration-info.c...66060861/m/143109821 Having read your post more than once , you come across as desperate for a simple answer to your hairloss , looking for cheap cost , easy access and a quick fix , never heard of this doc , that should ring alarm bells , norton are butchers and the price is a fucking joke ! I'm sorry to tell you this but this is not the case with HTs , you will wear it for life and mistakes at this early stage could be EXTREAMLY COSTLY ! I suggest , like lorenzo , leeson and eman , that you calm down , take a deep breath and research research research . TOP RESEARCH = TOP DOC = TOP RESULTS it's that simple , but your desperation for a quick , easy fix comes though in your post , please don't make any mistakes and listen to the guys above . good luck richie 2100 crown grafts Dr Feller nov 2007
Senior Member bullitnut Posted February 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2009 hi mate welcome for what its worth YES it is the same surgeon that worked for norton you can see a picture of him on both the fueclinics website and the norton one. Also the manager of the fueclinics is the same guys that used to be the consultant at the norton clinic so my friend from that i think its pretty easy to make YOUR OWN mind up regarding them good luck pal 2 poor very poor UK ht's 2 world class repairs with Shapiro Medical Group original thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.co...d.php?t=134995 Dr Paul's procedure http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1710 Dr Ron's procedure http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1128
Senior Member bullitnut Posted February 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2009 Hi mate now ive a little more time let me elaborate, Firstly the price qouted is expensive, secondly if you search the forums there are plenty of things said about this clinic and the norton clinic. As Richie said research is an important factor in deciding who to go to for a hair transplant. But the good news is you have made a positive move by coming onto the internet to research. If you check out the docs and clinics on here you will find an array of great clinics to choose from. Far too many guys have been to the likes of norton etc and had poor results and then found they have to research to get repaired but you my friend are in a good place right now as you havent been butchered and have the chance to get superb results if you choose a great doctor. I myself was butchered at the norton clinic and was lucky to get repaired by a world class clinic called SMG here is a link to my story on here http://hair-restoration-info.c...60861/m/22910019/p/1 Ive read many posts on many forums over the last few years from guys who have had to get repaired because of these types of clinics, one that springs to mind was a Guy called PATCHY P who had a great repair with Dr Feller, anyway im rambling what im trying to say is why take the risk do as richie says and research the hell out of the internet and go to a reputable clinic. I personally havent been to dr theo or the fueclinics but come on if they both worked at the norton then why take the risk the odds of getting a poor result are pretty high imo. But if you do go there i wish you the best and hope you get the result you deserve pal good luck!!!! 2 poor very poor UK ht's 2 world class repairs with Shapiro Medical Group original thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.co...d.php?t=134995 Dr Paul's procedure http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1710 Dr Ron's procedure http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1128
