Guest
Why Dr. Woods from Australia is not recommended by this sight? I am considering traveling from the states to have work done by him and it seemed odd that the list did not include him. I have found alot of valuable information on this sight and find it very trustworthy to first time patients like me.

Senior Member uncjim Posted January 6, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2003 Hi Robertt, I don't know why Dr.Woods isn't recommended here. I'm curious though, if you don't mind. Why are you considering traveling to Dr.Woods? Jim "Temples 'n Crowns Forever" Uncjim's Hair Loss WebLog
Senior Member arfy Posted January 6, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2003 He might not want a linear donor scar from a strip excision. I think that is reasonable.
Guest
Jim The reason i would like to see Dr. Woods is 1)I enjoy cutting cutting my hair real short and 2)I have been told by 2 doctors who do the strip method that my scalp doesnt "stretch" well.If i would need multiple procedures i might end up with a larger then normal scar. Senior Member uncjim Posted January 6, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2003 Robertt, I'm glad that you haven't been frightened by the prospect of strip surgery, as it can, in the right hands, be relatively benign. Your reasons appear to be well thought out and I congratulate you for that. GOOD LUCK !
