Regular Member Maximus Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 Had a great first transplant with Dr. Cooley and am looking to do #2. Wondering what the next best steps would be? Crown work? how much would be needed to fill the crown? Fill in front more? Any suggestions or tips about a the second procedure? I'm deployed with the Military and can't send any pics right now. That is why my profile hasn't been updated recently. Thanks in advance...Max

Senior Member the B spot Posted February 27, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 Hey Max--- I think it is best to conserve your donor until you are fully satisfied with your front 3rd and mid-scalp regions. Of course, a sprinkle through the crown probably won't hurt say 1500 grafts or so, but you need about 3000 in the are to make a real difference (if you crown looks like mine!) Anyway, thanks for serving, continued safety and good health. Senior Member hairbank Posted February 27, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 Hey Max, I looked at your prior post with pics, it said you received a little more than 3200 first time, correct? If you're satisfied with everything in the frontal 1/3 and midscalp and want to move to the crown like B spot said I'd count on more than 3000 for any appearance of density. I had the majority of grafts place in the crown for HT #2..........view my blog for comparison if you'd like. I'm very satisfied with the coverage achieved.
