Dr. Epstein (Anyone looking for a great surgeon should read this)

Hello all,

 

I had been a member of this forum a few years ago and I owe a lot to this website, because it led me to Dr. Jeff Epstein of Miami. I had started losing my hair at about 21, the loss was minimal, but at 21, the word minimal doesn't assuage the embarrassment and anger you feel. I initially had gone to Bosley (because I saw there infomercials and believed them to be the only ones who existed) to get ~400 grafts. After charging me and arm and a leg for a sub-par procedure I was very discouraged. I thought this was the best there was to offer. Boy was I wrong.

 

I found this site (thank goodness) and read through it religiously. I was amazed at everyone out there with such devotion to posting their experiences so others may benefit. After spending hours upon hours on this site looking at picture after picture and reading blog after blog, I had it narrowed down. I noticed without exception, three, maybe four surgeons were repeatedly mentioned, and with the added benefit of Dr. Epstein practicing in my city, I decided to research him further and make a consultation. Best decision I have ever made.

 

Immediately I was put at ease by the atmosphere and his staff. In the consultation room he had a photo album, not a brochure, but a photo album taken with a regular camera. I was astounded at the before and after pictures I witnessed, could he possibly be this good? No one can do work like this I thought. Well, after realizing he was a diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, a member of the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS) of which fewer than 40 physicians world wide are a member of and past president of the Florida Society of Facial and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, I felt needles to say, more at ease. Then when I realized he had been featured in Vogue magazine, a book called the Beauty Makers (which lists the top cosmetic surgeons in the country) and other numerous accolades to extensive to list, I knew I had found the right Doc. Wow were my expectations confirmed throughout the entire process and most importantly at 3 months!

 

I will post pictures here as soon as I realize how to do so. In the meantime, I am going back to Dr. Epstein this week for a second procedure and do not have any reservations whatsoever, I have no doubt in my mind the procedure will be nothing short of superior. Again, I understand pictures are worth a thousand words, and I will post them as soon as I can. In the meantime, I felt an obligation to pass on my experience as so many others have done for me.

 

Dr. Epstein has a courteous staff, relaxing atmosphere, very reasonable prices, and a commitment to both excellence and his patients unlike any I have seen. He has nothing but kind and respectful things to say about his colleagues, which is to say that I am sure there are other great doctors out there, however I am just sharing my experiences with reports and testimonies from so many others.

 

If anyone out there is new to this, or someone is going for their third procedure, I strongly advise you to give Dr. Epstein more than just serious thought. For those of you who do not wish to travel to Miami, he just added a second office in NY City! I will post pictures soon. In the meantime, please research this forum and Dr. Epstein's website, I believe you will find nothing but positive things said. After that, give him a call. Trust me people, it will be the wisest decision you make in this process.

Well I see the cynic's are still alive and well on this site No, this is not my first post, as I said I had been here years ago.

Thanks, I wasn't inferring you worked for him, and yes the cynics are alive , can you blame us? we are dealing with HT! Many before us have learned the hard way.

It did sound very pitchy, but given the doc you have talked about I believe you were sincere. And we do see people come on here and try to promote some doc people have never heard of in that sales pitchy kind of way, but i am glad you are happy with him, if i lived in south florida i would go to him too.
