I'm looking for recommendations in New England. Does anyone have personal experience with DiStefano medical group? I am willing to travel, but if quality is available close by would prefer.

I don't have any personal experience with DiStefano, but there are some key things to look for, as well as avoid. Maybe you can tell us if DiStefano:

 

-uses microscopes to dissect your donor strip?

 

-does not use Minigrafts?

 

-does only one (or two at MOST) patients per day?

 

-has a lot of experience using only Follicular Unit grafts?

 

- lets you see a bunch of previous patients in person (not anyone who works at the clinic) who had a similar amount of hair loss (and maybe even similar type of hair) and you were really impressed with their results?

 

- has given you a long-term plan that makes sense?

 

- encourages you to use preventative drugs like Propecia, instead of thinking you will just "replace it all with transplants"?

 

These are just a few questions to ask yourself about any clinic. How does DiStefano's clinic seem to stand up, in light of these questions?
