Role of stem cells in skin and hair regenration

I was wondering if someone has additional news when it comes to the use of stem cells to fight the baldness?

I did a search on this forum and I am amazed not to find a single thread talking about this subject.

 

This is an article + a video on MSNBC talking about the use of stem cells and the positive results on hair regroth on mice.

The "secret compound" has been disclosed previously as WNTS proteins. Whether or not there is something new not being disclosed, or they are now attempting to mask their discovery from the public, I don't know.

 

There has been some discussion on this topic when these articles first came out, but I'm sad to say that I haven't seen anything new on this topic in the last 8 months or so.

 

I imagine when there is more big news on this subject, it will yet again, become another hot topic.

 

Between this and hair multiplication, perhaps one day there will be a hair loss cure.

I think this and HM are the next 2 big things with MPB treatment. When things are quiet then sometimes that is a sign of current research being conducted. Probably 5-10yrs out-- But you never know!
