Regular Member jfo Posted August 23, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted August 23, 2007 My question is if you had one prior surgery, and you are going for another surgery do they open the original donor scar or do they create a entire new donor section which would give you another scar? Bill - Seemiller
jfo, The latest method is to remove the old scar with a new strip leaving you with one scar rather than two. This is why typically the first hair transplant will yield more follicular unit grafts than the second. I hope this helps. Bill
