Senior Member jupiter_jessica Posted April 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 22, 2010 38 year old male patient with a prior history of plugs several years ago. Patient desired improvement in crown and frontal scalp areas. The objective was to soften the hairline by bringing the temporal angle down and reducing the appearance of plugs. Total grafts #: 1931 This patient is very pleased with the results and has no desire for added density or coverage. Senta *I am a Medical Assistant at Jupiter Dermatology & Hair Restoration. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted April 22, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted April 22, 2010 Jupiter_jessica, Thank you for sharing this case. Some of the "plug" reversals and reconstruction cases never cease to amaze me. I'm curious, did Dr. Mejia extract and recycle any of the plugs in the crown, or did he soften the appearance by simply implanting grafts around them?? Well done! Senior Member jupiter_jessica Posted May 7, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted May 7, 2010 He did a combination of softening around them, plug recycling and also punching parts of the plugs out. In essence a combination of three different techniques. Thanks for your question! Senta *I am a Medical Assistant at Jupiter Dermatology & Hair Restoration.
