Senior Member badger_01 Posted June 21, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2008 I'm 9 days post-op now and have been noticing a few hairs in my comb when i comb the sides and back or gently massage the suture area. It couldn't be coming from anywhere else since my recipient area was shaved. Could this be shockloss? I thought that it typically starts between 1 and 2 months post-op. - badger 3279 grafts with Dr Gabel - 06/12/08 My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Gabel
Bill - Seemiller
badger, Shock loss can occur anywhere from a couple days to a few months after hair transplant surgery in either the recipient or donor area. It's a temporary inconvenience that many hair restoration patients suffer. Know that this is normal and you are not alone. Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member Dr. Ricardo Mejia Posted June 21, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted June 21, 2008 There are different types of shock loss and I would not necessarily worry about the hairs in the comb at this point. At 9 days, this is most likely Iatrogenic shock loss. See below.
