Hair Dryer after HT

I am just about 3 weeks post HT, and have been using a hair dryer on the low cool setting. Can someone tell me how long before I can use the high warm setting, and can really towel dry my hair, instead of just patting it down? (My hair looks pretty flat)

 

As I mentioned, I am about 3 weeks past my HT, and the scabs are gone.

Generally speaking, drying your hair with heat is not good for your hair whether or not you've had a hair transplant.

 

Though the transplanted hair is permanently set in place by 10 to 14 days, the recipient area will remain a bit sensitive as its healing. You will be safe at 3 weeks using a warm or hot setting as long as you don't linger in an area too long to burn the scalp. To this day though, I still use a cool setting for overall hair health. You are also safe to towel dry your hair normally again after 2 weeks.

regarding the hair drying thign. I am curious, would this not fall into the same theory category as 'wearing hats too much causes hair loss? meaning, if hair loss is pretty much %100 genetic, what would it matter what setting your hair dryer is on? My wife blowdrys her hair everyday, for 15 minutes min...and she has amazing hair.

anyway, I can see it being an issue right after a hair transplant, but I have my doubts that using a hairdryer on the hot setting will do no more than dry your hair out a bit more compared to using the cool setting. Just to clarify, is this what you are saying?
