PR-

Given your T3, T4 and FT3 values, and observing other references for a "normal" TSH value, your TSH isn't that far above high normal. I would defer to your GP/Endocrinologist for his/her final conclusion as to whether or not these values indicate a hypothyroid condition. My impression is that, at this point they most likely do not.

That is interesting. My sister had her Thyroid removed and my mom didn't but is on Synthroid since I can remember. My Croat side is my mom's side.

PR- Ahhh.. the plot thickens.. Positive family history!! This adds more weight to the elevated TSH level. Now given the family history I would suggest regular (every 6 mos- 1 year) follow-ups to monitor your thyroid panel values.

I believe your current hair loss is most likely due to MPB, but thyroid may factor in in the future.

I have to ask my Grandmother, she is 100% Croat. I know her grandparents were royalty than left the country before the start on WW 1 to escape having their sons fight the war. I'll get the history in a couple of days.

Doesnt look like MPB to me as you still seem to have a fairly straight hairline, I think that Rogaine and Propecia could work wonders for your hairloss. Dont consider getting a HT at your age, I had one at 22 and that was far too early, and I didnt even need it. Luckily I havent lost anymore hair though and I atribute that mainly to Propecia.

WW1 was a really bad war, many people got killed in trenches all over Europe but the greatest loss of people was just after the Great war in 1918. from Spanish influenza. In the village where my great grandmother lived almost everybody died but old people after men came back from the war carrying the fatal flu.

Well I hope that this drug combo will help but I know that it?‚??s not a permanent solution, just buying time and I am not too happy about that. But after I?‚??ve read an article about hair cloning and drug coming out in 2009/10 that gave me great hope of getting my hair back. Only issue that bothers me now, how much it will cost(if it comes out at said time)???
