Fake hair

I have seen some freaky things on youtube, where hair specialists are able to temporarily place hair on bald guys and give a very realistic appearance.

I dont know how it works but i believe these hairs last for over 1 month?

Does anyone know anything about this?

 

Has there been any success with transplanting fake hairs permenatly - like those old hair plugs etc? does anyone still practice those techniques?

 

 

 

How long do you guys think we are away from cloning human hair and other innovations that will reduce the need for dense donor sites?

 

What are some of the expected innovations in the years ahead?

I believe you asked this before and it was answered.

 

I can't spean for what you are seeing on youtube, but it's possible that they are wearing a hair piece.

 

Transplanting fake hair is not legal in the US to my knowledge but has been done in other parts of the world. There are many additional risks of infection and other problems. From what I heard Pat say, it often times does not look very natural.

So the old hair plugs from 20 years ago were real hairs? i always believed they were fake.

 

 

Yes you did answer the question before Bill - saying that fake hair transplants were generally not very good, but ive seen things on the internet - and the results seemed decent.

I think they were from surgeons in europe - although i may be mistaken.

 

 

I know the internet is full of shit, and hair transplanters are often fraudsters preying on peoples vulnerabilities. But when you see videos etc it makes you curious.

 

So i thought id double check on here for other peoples experiences/knowledge

 

Even the youtube, fake hair wig thing seemed to look pretty decent. I thought someone might know something about it. I will post a link to it soon.

 

Do you know of any wigs or other synthetic products that can be used on a hairline?

Is there anything like that at all?

This might sound stupid, but is there any product where you can sort of glew hairs that have fallen out back onto your existing hairs to increase density? anything crazy like that?
