tomtom
After years of hesitation and skepticism with hair transplantation surgery, I finally took the plunge with FUSS. My surgery was performed with Dr. Feller on July 11, 2007. I had done extensive searching on this board and others like it to gain more knowledge and conviction in going through with this surgery. This was a very scary, scary procedure for me but Dr. Feller did a good job in easing my concerns before and during the surgery. I still can't believe I did it... Looking at myself in the mirror I'm happy that I went through with it and still wonder if I can pull it off before I go back to work in about 16 days. In all honesty, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The plan originally was to fill in the frontal 1/3rd and forelock with about 2000 grafts. Dr. Feller ended up with 2400. Thanks to all the regular posters like: Spex, Jotronic, Bushy, Hairroot,Bill and others who really help give this board the energy and wisdom that people like me need to be more motivated and educated. I have posted some pics that are before and after.

Senior Member NervousNelly Posted July 13, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2007 Tomtom, I think the work looks awesome. I personally like the idea of the higher hairline because it will always look natural and you will get more "bang for your buck". Less fu are needed to give you a full looking head of hair. What people have to remember is that you can always lower a hairline but raising it can be very challenging. NN NN Dr.Cole,1989. ??graftcount Dr. Ron Shapiro. As for the hairline, all Dr. Feller did was trace the existing hairline that I had and filled it from the bottom of the hairline about an inch from the temples and 1.25 inches from the front. I actually thought it might have been a little low but Dr. Feller didn't think so. So far so good. The redness is subsiding everday and the scar already has hair going through it.
