Regular Member worried Posted May 1, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted May 1, 2006 Could anyone tell me if pimples(sore ) on scalp have been a problem? Should they be left alone until they grow to the size of a marble? I keep my hair clean and stay under the hot water for long periods of time hoping they will go away. Also its been 5 weeks and 2 days and top of head is still fairly numb, hairline still pink enough to notice where the new hairline is suppose to be, and donor area ,scar has some pimple like bumps also. I keep it clean and have put anti biotic ointment on it but still a little sore in spots. Also jumped in the ocean on a diving trip and was hoping salt water and a chilly 43 degree water temp would help, well at least the salt water. Is it normal for this crap to happen and does the greesy minoxidal make matters worse? So far this place has been a big help so I figured I would try to get some feed back on this . Thanks in advance. Not as worried. Scott View My Hair Loss Weblog Here

Senior Member kamin Posted May 1, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted May 1, 2006 The size of a marble????? Good God. I hope you're kidding. What you need to do is start using the search engine on this site. Search for key words such as "pimples", "minoxidal", etc. Whatever subject it is that you're trying to find answers, you'll find loads of info using the search engine. Senior Member hairbank Posted May 1, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted May 1, 2006 Scott, The pimples should actually be a good sign for you. I'm 2 1/2 months post op and have been experiencing them for the last month. They're ingrown hairs. They can be a little painful but, for me, I've found it's best just to leave them alone.........they'll go away on their own in a few days. The pinkish tint is also normal. It varies from one person to the next but should be fading quickly for you over the next month or so. I think mine is mostly gone at this point. Same for the numbness........wait it out, it just takes some time. I dunno about minox as I don't use it.
