My 5 minute Experience at the Casino!.

I just wanted to share a great experience that happened last night which only other HT vetrans could appreciate. By way of background I had 3000 all fuv's on Jan 24, 2002. They were all placed on the front third of my scalp because fortuately I have not experienced any balding in the crown area. I'm 30 years old and have already experienced significant growth. In fact, my hairline is already re-established. Anyway, last night I was at Casino Niagra for a buddy's stag. For those of you who are not familiar with this casino they are extremely strict in terms of requesting proof of age from patrons as you enter the casino. They card anyone who looks under 40 and I was even carded prior to my transplant with my receding hairline and all. When the security officer saw my photograph on my driver's license he indicated that the person in the photo looked alot older and then had to get a another sceurity officer because he was unsure as to whether the person before him was the same guy in the photo. My driver's license photo was probably taken when I was 25 or 26 years old. I eventually got into the casino without having to explain to the security officers (and to the 50 people in line behind me) that I had a hair transplant but it was a five minute ordeal. Now most people would have been rather annoyed by this but the truth is it was one of the best five minutes I have ever experienced!

Mitch,

Just like your casino experience, this whole thing is like gambling to me! I have to decide to do this and I'm not sure if I will like the end results; however, if I decide to do the HT I got to make my decision between Dr. Simmons or Seager. Any difference between qualities? My other major concern is the costs, they told me I need two sessions of 2800 grafts each which you know how much it costs. I wasn't expecting that much and not that I can't afford it but thinking maybe to do only one session!

Any other information will be appreciated. I have not looked anywhere else as I expect these Dr.'s to be the best in T.O.

Thanks,

Emerald

Emerald-

You need to do a LOT more homework! Read this forum long enough, and you'll find that the majority of guys who went to someone local or one of the hair mills are 100X more likely to be dissapointed or worse.

I tried to develop a checklist for newbies that would help lead them to the right doctor for them. See my link below.

Most importantly - Travel Distance should be the absolute last thing you consider when choosing your doc.

You're absolutely right Joecifus!

As you can see, I live in Tulsa, OK, but I had my procedure done in Tampa, FL. Does that mean there are no clinics in Tulsa that do HT? Not at all, it just means that after doing my research, I would never consider going to those clinics!

Realisticaly, if you are prepared to shell out $5000+ for a hair transplant, whats another few hundred $$ for airfare and hotel for a couple of days? And a lot of docs will even give you a travel credit if you're coming from out of town, so it all evens out, or is offset at least a little bit. Don't let geography even be a consideration in your decision. Go to the doc that you feel is the very best for your particular circumstances, no matter where he or she happens to be.
