Propecia dosage?

I just got back from the doctor for my 6 month post-propecia check up. I told him that a few months ago I started taking the pills twice a day (2mg a day). He told me that its a waste of money. Since 1mg, 2mg, or even 5mg a day will do the same thing.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is.. is there any evidence or reason to believe that increased dosage of propecia can be more effective? Or am I really just wasting my money

I just follow what is prescribed - 1mg per day. Sometimes I miss a day, but I don't double up the next. I'm onlhy a month into it - too early to tell.

I'm interested in what you Doc had to say concerning your progress after 6 months.

Chaos, panic and disorder...my work here is done.

Well my doctor is an ass, so he just took a quick look at my head and said "you still have a lot of hair", then proceeded to write my prescription refill and send me on my way.

But as far as my progress is concerned. My hair loss seems to have slowed down a lot. Right now I'm past that "I'd be happy if I could just keep what I have" phase. I cut my hair really short so I can see tiny hairs coming in all over my head, but I lose a lot of hair when I shower so I think it evens itself out.
