1. Hugh, Recent Photos My temple redness is actually clearing up faster than the rest. What little hair that has remained since my HT (only 2 months)looks as if it were always there - excellent match. I think that your questioned is better posed to Jotronic since he has had a good amount of temple work and his are fully developed. I've seen his HT in person and could not imagine it without the temple work - it's that good.
2. Please excuse my spelling errors - can't get used to this laptop keyboard when I travel. Although I appreciate the newfound professional enthusiam to the forum, I'm a little disappointed to hear that a good percentage of my post-HT support group has been booted from the site. I know these guys can sometimes appear to be crouching tigers but they all have been helpful and inspirational at least to my cause. Lost resources...
3. 750 total. My right temple needed more than my left so I would guess that the split was more like 450 on the right and 300 on the left.
4. EastCoast With respect to Dr. Wongs comments, check out what he did with my temples: Shed's Temples
5. I've been on travel and have just been able to catch up with the group - what a difference!!! "The Coalition" must have had a summit of sorts? I get the impression that some of it's members may have recognized that perhap's only a handful of doctors have been getting all the press in the forums and a resultant boost in business. Maybe a resounding "what gives Pat?" may have instigated some of the action of late? I gotta believe that Pat had to tell these folks that THEY HAVE TO PARTICIPATE! And I say good for you! Looks like it's working! I noticed quite a few contributions from a few of the seldom or never heard from professionals. The "lateral slit" thread was excellent as are a the threads discussion "HT limitations" and "veteran observations" threads. The refreshing thing is that a lot of these topics have been discussed before, but seldom are any views or opinions offered by TRUE professionals and surgeons. The are MANY threads that are started here that can only really be answered by professionals. Too often we have to settle for "relax, that's what happened to me". Back to my topic subject....yes HT veterans and potential HT patients unite! Let's strike while the iron is hot - no telling when the professional interest may wear off (especially since summer is here). I am suggesting that we all maybe flood the "Physicians Questions" forum and see where it goes? Thanks for stirring the coals Pat!

7. Hugh, looks like your pre-op photos are dated in December of 2003 and your latest this week. My math put's you at 4 months - was your camera date off back then? If that's not the case then you should be jamming in a couple of month's. Just curious, why would you jump into a second HT before the first has matured? Wouldn't you risk transecting grafts that haven't sprouted yet? Definately showing growth and improvement. Best of luck.
8. "He explained that FUE actually causes more noticable scarring since it is all over your head." Interesting comment, and from a doctor no less. Almost diminishes the perceived advantage over strip. Sounds like you did well. Best of luck with your healing and progress notcousinit.
9. Joe HT I agree with you in some respect however, where are YOUR pics? You gotta be close to 6 months out now from a self proclaimed "hair-mill". As I remember, the original pics you posted post-ht didn't look unlike many here. I remember everone being somewhat optimistic of your potential results. What you got? Show us how it's done. Dude, I hope things are working out for you...
10. Excellent results Mire1954! It's great that your family and friends have been positive about your transformation. Sounds like you have a great attitude - mission accomplished!
11. Unfortunately Arfy is absolutely right in my case: "Any temprary decrease in wrinkles could be due to temporary or lingering effects of swelling from the surgery." Obvoiusly we have too much time on our hands waiting for the grafts to come in and are just looking for positive results ANYWHERE. Good healing fortune...
12.
quote:
It's estimated that more than $1 billion is spent each year in the United States combatting baldness, mostly through hair transplants. Chaos, panic and disorder...my work here is done.
13. Spend some time reading the posts in this forum. Go to the main site and look at the results of some of the recommended surgeons and then come back here and do some searches on their names to read about first hand experiences. Rationalize the information and processes available. Convince YOURSELF that you are making an informed decision. Good luck! Chaos, panic and disorder...my work here is done.
14.
quote:
I received 2200 grafts, which was a very large amount for the area which was being covered. That's the point Dr. Reese made. I was not that bad off yet and had decent hair on top, but the sides had receded and the frontal hairline had receded about 1/2 inc. The frontal area was hammered with 2200 grafts, that's the point. Did I miss it or are you unsure if any microscopes were used? You mention the primary area of focus was the front 1/2" or pretty much your hairline and a little more behind. Of those 2200 grafts, only a certain percentage are going to be single hair grafts, ideal for hairline aesthetics. Without using microscopes, I would believe that these precious grafts are put at risk of being damaged during separation, leaving quite possibly a larger number of 2, 3 and 4 hair units to work with. I'm just about dry heaving at the thought of "hammering" my hairline with multi-hair units. Well it sounds to me like you were happy with your procedure though. I wouldn't spend so much time trying to defend your choice of clinics. I would let the results speak for itself. Look forward to seeing photos in the future. Best wishes. Chaos, panic and disorder...my work here is done.
15. Shapiro Medical Group There's a link on this page where you can contact patients who may be willing to correspond with you. Good luck. Chaos, panic and disorder...my work here is done.
