Bill - Seemiller Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Chris, I am sure there are people taking more than that, but without a doctor's recommendation, I would not increase the daily dosage. 1mg daily has been proven as a hair loss treatment. Bill - Seemiller Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Yes, cutting Proscar into quarters is perfectly acceptable. in fact, most likely some of the pill will be lost during the cutting (hopefully only a little). It is also true that finasteride is not evenly distributed in the pill - which means you may be taking more per day some days and less others.
