Guest
Yeah, forget about Dr Batra's homeo stuff. Here's a link to a better product. Anyone wishing to try just send me $2000 for 6 months supply. http://www.whitetreeaz.com/vintage/salve.htm But, be careful. As it says in the advertisement "we urge caution in the use of our banjo salve around nubile young women,as it can cause them to become uncontollably Warm and Excited"
Regular Member BAL Posted May 31, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted May 31, 2006 Guys simply don't get a HT in India. You'll basically be test guinea pig for these novice surgeons to gain experience and skill! I have read and seen some shocking work done. The Indian surgeons will butcher you just like most of the UK ones. Like Jagdish said, they are cheaters who showcase fraud results to get patients. They prey on the fragile so don't listen to their false promises! Your safest bet is to get surgery done in America or Canada. Believe me I have found this out from experience. As for side effects from Finasteride. My doctors have told me that the risk of side effects is very small. I have been taking the drug for a few years and no problems. My doctor suggest that I should try it and if I got any side effects, I should just stop using it and they will go away. So your best off trying the drug for 6-12 months and see if it helps matters. All the best! _________________ The comments/statements made above are my opinion only. 898 Scar Revision and Staple Cycle Experiment - Dr Feller & Dr Rogers (Nov'06) 2200 Strip - Dr Feller (Nov'05) 4 bad surgeries at Hosp Grp

Regular Member ogph Posted June 2, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted June 2, 2006 Hi Jagdish, I found this. Cipla is also manufacturing finasteride (trade names Fincar?® and Finpecia?®), as is Dr. Reddy's (trade names Finax?® and Finast?®), and Ranbaxy (trade name Finara?®). Are all of these idenitcal to propecia with the same benefits ? Are they perscribed for hairloss? I am thinking of getting some from India as propecia is real expensive everywhere else. Thanks. Designers normally search for images in google and they copy and paste it in the websites. I saw some results of his work and found it very impressive. ogph, Fincar and Finast are same as proscar. Finpecia and Finax are same as propecia. Cipla and DRL(Dr.Reddy Labs) both are very big and reputed drug manufacturing companies. So you can trust these tablets. They are prescribed by the dermetologists in India. They are cheap because they are manufacured in India. Indian rupees 44 is equal to 1 dollar in US. So they are cheap to you and expensive to us. I have been on Finax because its packing is better than Finpecia and I trust DRL more. -Jagdish Ravi Vide

Karan
Hi Jagdish, I met up Dr. Rajesh Rajput of Hiranandani Hospital of Mumbai. He seemed to be a knowledgeable HT doc but need to find out further. Any opinion about this doc.
Senior Member jagdish Posted June 4, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted June 4, 2006 Karan, I heard good things about Dr.Rajesh Rajput but have not seen his results yet. One thing is sure. He has good experience than other doctors and his price meets Indian standards. He does FUT. You may ask for some patient references so that you can meet them personally and find out how their HT experience was. There is nothing wrong in asking this kind of information from the doctor. This is a life changing operation and you should be careful about it. -Jagdish Ravi Vide
Karan
Hi Jagdish, I was prescribed medication by Dr. Rajput constituting of Finax and Mintop along side few health suppliments. I am told to consume finax twice a week and suppliments would support all the other week days. Mintop is on twice a day application on the scalp with certain precautions. This treatment is for the first 2 months. Need to observe.
Regular Member L'Anonyme Posted June 4, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted June 4, 2006 Karan, I wouldn't be directing my questions exclusively to jagdish. I've been more of a lurker on this forum thus far than anything else, but I found this whole thread interesting b/c you really don't seem to have done your homework, and it also sounds like you are getting bad medical advice about the drugs you've started taking. DO NOT get a hair transplant in India, PERIOD. Forget about finding a HT doctor in India, and come to the United States or Canada for your procedure(s). Also, if your doctor there is telling you to take finasteride only twice a week, you are receiving very bad medical advice. You need to take finasteride **EVERY DAY** for it to work for you, and you should preferably be taking Propecia manufactured by Merck in the USA, not a generic equivalent manufactured in India. America and Canada are the places to go. L'Anonyme, I agree with you that getting HT in India is not good. Even myself, I am not considering to get my second HT done in India. But I can not ask every Indian to go to US for HT. Because India is not a rich country. Average monthly salary is around $150. So, for most of them it is impossible to go to US. Only software professionals like me or few very rich people can go to US for the transplantation. What about the remaining people. There are some(very few) doctors in India who are nowadays doing FUT with good results. What I mean by good results is, they don't look like natural hair or they don't allow the patient to comb it like whatever hairstyle he wants, But they can comb over and hide their baldness. I saw some people here who are extremely happy with their results though their results are not as good as we see on this forum. Karan, If the doctor says only 2 tablets of Finax per week, that is not good. Finasteride should be taken once a day. Some take once in two days. It stays active for 72 hours maximum. So, 2 tablets in a week is very low dosage and may not help you much. May be he wants to check whether you will get any side effects or not with the medicine. What health supliments he prescribed. I am curious to know what health suppliments prevent hairloss. Mintop(Minoxidile 5%)dosage is fine. Some apply it once a day. -Jagdish Ravi Vide
Karan
Hi L'Anonyme and Jagdish, I am not on a wrong track but am in search of a good HT doc in India if any. I post what I interact with the HT doc to get some opinion form this forum. Your suggestions clearly align with what I have in my mind. I have been told to be on the following medication. colovit + primacal - AT - 2 times a week Irofol - AZ + Celin -500 - 2 times a week Aminofit + Finpecia 1mg - 2 times a week Sunday - no medication Mintop 2% - twice a day With proper diet. The doc says that this is balanced medication before suggesting any HT and avoid side effects. Only after initial observation of 2 months will the Doc suggest the next course of action. US and Canada could be the best bet any day for an HT but frankly I am not so very desperate in terms of time to cut short on my research in India for good HT doc. Entering a HT Surgery without a proper research is completely ruled out. Please do suggest me on the medication prescribed. Also do we have any HT specialists on this forum to lend their opinion. I have browsed net on hailoss and know completely about FDA approved Finasteride and Minoxidil www.hairlosstalks.com My Question : I have been following the treatment of Dr Batra since last 1 year. Can sww what u guys have to say about him i somehow have the same views. However, as i said my situation was not so bad so I could not dee a major difference. Right now I am using Batras medication and have started applying Minoxidil since last 2 months.Seems to be working good for me.However, once discuseed with batra ..they are against using minoxidil and i can understand the reason why ...Do you have any idea on whether i can use minoxidil with their treatment ?? As far as Finasteride is concerned it is know to prevent and further hair loss(Keep what you have) ans Minoxidil(triggers regrowth). So I was wondering can i use Dr Batra --To Keep whaaat I have and Minoxidil for regrowth ?? Or do you think Dr Batra is not good enough for keep what you have as well ) Suggestions Welcomes Regards Gaurav
Senior Member jagdish Posted August 24, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted August 24, 2006 Gaurav, In my openion Dr.Batra's medicine does not work. I have seen many people using it and most of them found no difference. Very few people told me that their hairfall stopped. But I don't think it is due to the medicine. May be it is because they don't have any hair left to loose. Again, Batra says his medicine works after 2 years. 2 years is enough time to grab good money from your pocket. In these 2 years you will loose your hope and you will discontinue the tablets. It is Finax or Finpecia and minoxidile that really work. Finax keeps what you have and also in some people it regrows hair mostly in the crown area. I found some regrowth after taking finax. Minoxidile also works in the same way. If you still want to continue Dr.Batra's medicine, you can continue it along with Finasteride and Minoxidile. Batra's medicine is homeopathy medicine. So, it is harmless. -Jagdish Ravi Vide
sudheer
Sameer, Happy New Year. I would like to know some details about Hair transplantation in Hyderabad. Today, I consulted with Mr.Ravinder Reddy of Hyderabad. He would be charging Rs.35,000/- for a signle sitting. I'm very much worried about my bald head. Do you have any idea about best doctor in Hyderabad? I'm planning to get married in April, By the Can I expect my hair some good shape? I had been rejected my most of the girls. I look handsome, but due to bald head I had to face a lot many problems. I want to call you if you don'd mind.
Bill - Seemiller
Sudheer, I just want to point out that this thread is about 6 months old so you may not get a reply directly from Sameer. I strongly recommend, however, that you don't let location determine where you get a hair transplant. Do a lot of research before jumping into surgery. No matter what anyone tells you, surgery IS a big deal...it's not a walk in the park. There are many risks to surgery, and those risks are amplified significantly if you choose a doctor using outdated technology. Unfortunately, it seems that the majority of the qualified doctors are on the western side of the globe which will mean to get a "sure thing" you will have to travel quite a ways. BUT, let me assure you that people have done it and they do NOT regret their decision when selecting a top qualified physician. I recommend that you start your search here: http://www.hairlosslearningcenter.org/hair-loss-content...s/our_physicians.asp Good luck Bill
