Hi L'Anonyme and Jagdish, I am not on a wrong track but am in search of a good HT doc in India if any. I post what I interact with the HT doc to get some opinion form this forum. Your suggestions clearly align with what I have in my mind. I have been told to be on the following medication. colovit + primacal - AT - 2 times a week Irofol - AZ + Celin -500 - 2 times a week Aminofit + Finpecia 1mg - 2 times a week Sunday - no medication Mintop 2% - twice a day With proper diet. The doc says that this is balanced medication before suggesting any HT and avoid side effects. Only after initial observation of 2 months will the Doc suggest the next course of action. US and Canada could be the best bet any day for an HT but frankly I am not so very desperate in terms of time to cut short on my research in India for good HT doc. Entering a HT Surgery without a proper research is completely ruled out. Please do suggest me on the medication prescribed. Also do we have any HT specialists on this forum to lend their opinion. Hi Jagdish, I was prescribed medication by Dr. Rajput constituting of Finax and Mintop along side few health suppliments. I am told to consume finax twice a week and suppliments would support all the other week days. Mintop is on twice a day application on the scalp with certain precautions. This treatment is for the first 2 months. Need to observe.

Hi Jagdish, I met up Dr. Rajesh Rajput of Hiranandani Hospital of Mumbai. He seemed to be a knowledgeable HT doc but need to find out further. Any opinion about this doc.

Also let me know what is the dosage of finax and the prescribed time (after breakfast or lunch or dinner). Thanx

Hi Jadgish, I have not paid any HT doc in India till date. My research is on and will take a call once I am confident of the doc. I will start of with Finax as suggested. I guess saw palmetto is not clinically proven.

I am 29 yrs old and have lost hair towards the front side of the scalp. I have tried out Dr. Batra's homeo treatment and found it to be of no use. I later approached Dr. Ashok Reddy in Hyderabad but did not proceed ahead after our first meet as I wanted to research further. Dr. Ashok Reddy of Hyderabad, India quotes Rs. 20,000 ($ 450) for HT process.I was also told to be on medication - Finax which I understand has few side effects. Researching further, I have recently visited Rich Feel, Mumbai and started using their serenoa complex tablets ( saw palmetto + horetail plant). They say the hair fall would decrease after 3 months of this medicine usage.I am told that I am in the stage 3 of 7 the balding process. Rich feel sited an approximate figure of Indian rs. 130,000 ($ 3000) for a Hair transplantation to cover up the lost hair. Very recently, I visited Dr. Puli Ravindra Reddy, HT surgeon of Hyderabad. He quoted a price of Rs. 35,000. I have the following questions to be answered. 1) Does Serenoa complex substitute Finax in retaining my existing hair? 2) Why is there such price fluctuation across Hyderabad and Mumbai? Is it due to any quality standard issues or is it due to some technical reason or is it the commerical part. 3)Can anyone help me with your understanding about Dr. Puli Ravindra Reddy? He seemed to me to be a better HT doctor. Please suggest me Thanks
