  1. answering a question above that asked if there was scars in the recipiant area
  2. Mel Gibson, Axel Rose, John Travolta, Nick Cage and many many more. Stars are very vain and I have been told that if you see many of them in person without the make up an cover up you can tell. Think of Bruce Willis, he goes from bald to hair in movies. They can make a head of hair look great and even the lack there of.
  3. no scars in the recipiant sites just the donar scar.
  4. Does anyone know the best way to minimize the appearance of scars? I have appointments at some derm docs and plastic surgeons in early June to see if lasers would work.

  6. it seems to me that this may be a joke??? I mean serously who says I am going to take one for the team on something that is consuming your thoughts and life???? Worse case scenario is you get butchered and look like you were part of the texas chainsaw masacre.
  7. A guy walked up to me and said what is that scar from? "I said a hairtranplant" He started laughling and said "yeah right, really what was it?" After I convinced him I was not joking he said that it was a funny reason since I was completely shaved.
  8. Here is a before and after just so you can see. The first two pics show the hair line and side veiw. http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll254/louierah/?acti...current=100_4445.jpg http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll254/louierah/?acti...current=100_4450.jpg http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll254/louierah/?acti...current=100_4458.jpg http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll254/louierah/?acti...current=100_4477.jpg
  9. I think the donor scar is pretty normal and your right I think if you plan on spendin $30k or so you can get good results but when I went for my 1500 for $6k I was not told to put aside another $24k to really achieve the look I would be happy with. If I were I probably would have just shaved it then. I am using Mederma and I am actually going tomorrow to a doc to see if lasering may help.
  10. And to respond to the age thing. Knowing where the hairloss is going isnt the real issue. The real issue is at 30 being bald may not matter to you. I am now 31 have beautiful wife and two adorable kids. I could really care less about hair but more supplying my kids with college money, paying my mortgage and things like that. Trust me at 22 I know it feels like a huge monkey on your back but it wont always feel that way. Put the money down on a boat or harley, shave your head and the babes will come!!!
  11. WAY TOO YOUNG!!!!! I got mine at 23 and now 31 I wish I wouldnt have. Nothing against the doctor but after losing more hair I was at the point of either spending more money or doing something else. Now I have decided to shave my head and be happy in my own skin. But rather than just having a shaved head, I have to explaiin to people that as a young man I was not confident and very insecure and I went for a procedure! Take a look!!!
  12. I have decided to give up the hair replacement fight and just be happy I am healthy and alive. I have however put aside some funds to try and help the appearance of the donor scar.
