  1. No plans at this moment.....but would never say never.

Ive got a young family and all the expense that comes with it icon_smile.gif

I guess im lucky with my lot really when you read of some of the more aggressive loss stories on this forum.

One other note of interest ..i have a twin brother who has lost all his hair(norwood 6),a good 10 years ago.

I think loss whether its fast or slow is in the cards your dealt, even amongst siblings.

  2. I personally started to loose hair when i was 19...im now knocking on the door of 40.

    I would guesstimate i,m in the region Of a 3v to 4

    on the norwood scale.

I would say my own experience has been quite a gradual amount of loss up until about 3 years ago when it seemed to increase to where it is at this present time.

So i hope when i pass 40 this might put the skids on it.......heres hopping icon_biggrin.gif although i wont be holding my breath icon_smile.gif

  3. Sure u could.

But why would u want to?

The system of the drug delivery is the difference between the two.

At the end of the day its Minoxidil.

Save your pennies and choose one and give it a try for six months then evaluate.

  4. In a word NO.

The only Hairloss meds that are currently FDA approved

    are Finasteride and Minoxidil.

Both of which,if have any positive effect, need to be taken for as long as you wish to maintain the effect.

Unfortunately certain individuals will experience some side effects.

  5. You just have to look at who is advertising what on TV ,posters etc aimed at men, to see celebs and non celebs with full heads of hair.

I would imagine this has to do with as much positive advertising for their product as possible.

White smiles ,chiseled good looks and low and behold full heads of hair go a long way to sell products to the masses.

Historically it has always been the case that the ideal is projected rather than unfortunately the reality.

  6. The big 3 hairloss treatments are :

    Finasteride/medication

    Minoxidil/medicaton

    Nizoral/shampoo

These are listed in order of potential effectiveness.

Generally the rule of thumb is to use as early as possible when you first notice hairloss.

Try to use all three,to cover all angles, and give them at least a year to gauge if they are working.
