  1. Hi there,

I really don't know what the issue could be here, your IP address is not showing anywhere in the lists and that you are showing as logged in, must mean something is working.

We have logged in on your profile to test things and in all cases, nothing untoward was found. We have your signup IP address as 120.61.34.118 and that is nowhere in any firewall, or CSF file that could be blocking you.

Obviously, when we login to your profile, we do so from very different IP addresses, so I would imagine that this could be the only area that is causing an issue.

Are you always logging in theough the same ISP, or location? If so, that could well be where the issue lies. If you could let me know what hardware you are using as a router and/or modem, that may give me some idea as to how to try and resolve this.

  2. Some devices just don't behave well on the current forum. I am testing various options using an Android phone.

I managed to add and upload a picture without too much difficulty.

Adding an image using the default Android browser does not open the file selection option, but does when using Chrome.

  3. Yes, there was a major update and this did cause a number of issues on the forum code. That meant we had to roll back the server to an earlier state ans we are in the process of recovering as much lost data as possible from my local backup. This backup was done as soon as the forum went down, so we should be able to get almost everything back.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

  4. OK, here goes an example. I took 2 closely matched frontal views of an old patient and did a few quick steps in photoshop to get the before and after to look as close as possible. Note that the original images were from an actual patient and have not been retouched at all.

Example 1 shows the 2 original before and after images. Example 2 shows the hairline section - slightly rotated to match the 1st one. Example 3 shows the original image with the "after" hairline dropped over it.

This is a quick job, so I have not blended the colours exactly, but really, this is just to illustrate how the morphs were created to look visibly as close as possible. While the images have been "Photoshopped" the actual patient hairlines were used and not artificially created to create the "illusion" of an improvement.

    Hope this clears thing up.

  5. Ryan, yes these images were "modified" in Photoshop so that the transitions would look about the same. What was done here, was to closely match before and after images and only use the "hair" section so that the morph would be a natural transition from one state to another.

There was certainly no "Photoshopping" of the hair sections, only the elements that are not effected by the procedure are constant (clothing etc) so that the fade from one to another is as close as possible to the previous state.

  6. Hi Guys,

This is very strange. There could be a "moment" when user ID's are just ever so slightly out of sync, but for these 2 users, it does not seem likely as the registration dates and user ID's are so very different.

When I say "moment" this could happen when a spammer is removed from our database and the user information is stored in 2 tables. There is a "moment" between the action of deletion and a new user signs up between the user ID being deleted from one table and getting the same ID before the other table is cleaned out. This is usually less than 1 second, so theoretically it may be possible that a user may have a different ID in one table to the other, but the chances of that happening are so remote it's not really an issue at all.

I have looked at the User ID for both these profiles and each one has the same ID in both tables, so I cannot really explain how this happened.

  7. Hi Matt,

Thanks for the info. I did take a look at Norton's site for this message and it may just be a false positive, as quite a few pages have images linked from services like Photobucket and others, which may have certain scripts that could be seen by Norton as a potential "threat".

If I look at the domain showing the traffic source "koleksikelbo.web.id/" , it is a free domain sharing service, where this particular script is lurking. I have done a search in our database and there is no result for this domain in any of the tables, so it may well have been in one or other spammer profile, which has already been removed.

  8. I have run full scans on all the code and posts in the database, including physical files on the server and have not found anything that presents a security threat to users.

I also ran a deep level scan on my own systems and there were no threats, viruses, trojans or hijackers at all. I have not seen any warnings about security when on this site (or any of our related sites) and can be fairly certain that things are safe and secure here.

As any user goes, it is always best NOT to click on anything before reading all the related text and then if you are not sure (especially on websites) just close your browser before you click on a suspected bad instruction/link.

Typically, these do often appear to look legitimate, but can result on bad things being installed on your machine. Always err on the side of caution.

    Hope this helps.

  9. This is very odd. I am on the site at least twice a day and have not had any issues with warnings at all. I just tested the site on a number of different platforms and browsers and not one warning. Shampoo, I did a search for the thread/post you mention and could not find anything. The closes to that is http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/175016-need-suggestions-hair-transplant-doctor.html and that loaded fine with nothing untoward.

Those of you who have noticed this, please can you post as much information about your machine.

    Operating System and version

    Browser used and version

    Anti virus application and version.

I use the standard Microsoft Security Essentials and found that this is more than adequate protection and am quite fanatical about clean computers. I run some 6 machines and not a single one has had a warning, or notice about a virus.

This is disturbing and we do run daily scans of to search for any malicious files or code and I have not seen anything there either.

Hope this is something more like a browser hijacker (quite common when visiting pages linked from Facebook).

  10. Guys,

For some reason, can't tell why, the image that was uploaded ended up as a whole binary string in the actual post body, which completely messes with the code that loads the page.

I did remove the post, and all the additional posts, where users mentioned that the page would not load correctly, as these are now redundant (hopefully).

I do hope that this fixes the page load issues and this post will be visible.

  11. Hi Sean,

The browser makes no difference at all, however there is a table of "trigger words" in the system that will automatically put a post into a moderation queue and it could be that you may have used one of these when posting.

I will check with Bill and see if he is happy to post the list of trigger words publicly.

    Hope this helps.

  12. Yep and my wife wrote that..

Lets see if the transfer to a new server and upgraded version of PHP still causes the header error message in Chrome.

    Nope, still a problem..

BTW the monitor on the right has been set to portrait so I can see really long pages without the need to scroll, really useful when the server monitor is running and I can easily see what's happening there. The middle monitor is a 24" with a screen res of 1920 X 1200 and the left one is 22"1920 X 1080. I have been looking around a lot for another 1920 X 1200 monitor, but they don't seem to be readily available and those that are, are really expensive.
