Happy for OP but he was lucky. Koray is not even top 10 in Turkey, all hair mills have good results, even Cosmedica, Cinik and Hair of Istanbul get good results simply because they perform so many surgeries, but they botch an equal or larger number of patients.

There are far safer options than ASMED at similar price points even in Turkey, do your research people, a failed HT can seriously ruin your life

Thanks for your kind words. Based on my research I would not compare Cosmedica and Cinik with Dr. Erdogan. He is light years ahead. I have experienced it and it was really a relaxing vacation that I would do again at ASMED.

Not gonna lie, I was really worried and I asked my beautiful coordinator to take care of me and assign a good team and I believe they were. The way techs extracted my hairs, I knew I'm in good hands, you can tell how experience they were. Please note I'm not defending the clinic and I'm not getting anything out of this. But I should be thankful for them because I really got what I paid for.

Koray is the best out there, Ive yet to see a surgeon produce better results than him. Happy for you mate, looks great.

Agree. I met 3 patients during my stay there and all of them had previous HTs with Dr. Erdogan and came back for another HT. They all told me you are in safe hands. One was from France, one was from Turkey and another from England.

  3. 1 Year Update

    Hi again everyone,

This is going to be my last update for my 2nd hair transplant with Dr. Koray @ASMEDMANUALFUE. Most of the pictures attached are taken today which marks almost 1 year post surgery. It was a long journey and I really enjoyed it. Take a look at my last picture at the clinic where I was almost bald. I knew that I will comeback and I really trustedmy decision and the team at ASMED because I have done my job and researched a lot for many years. I have seen bad reviews and good reviews but I still followed my guts and still went to ASMED for the surgery.

Do not give up on your hair before it is too late. Do you research before going for a hair transplant especially in this amazing network. Today, I am more confident about my hair and myself than in my 20's. I have a better natural hairline where Dr. Koray promised me that he will do his best to cover up my first HT which was a disaster for me where it was unnatural leaving a scar on the back of my head and I was stuck to 1 and only 1 hair style. Believe it or not, the scar looks better now because I think the team extracted more hairs around it where before it was really obvious if I cut my hair short. I don't have the best crown but it is not bothering me much and when the time comes, I might go for another HT in the future :)

I'm still on Finasteride 1mg (Propecia) and minoxidil foam and lately I'm using rosemary oil because I also researched this oil and I heard it's good for hair loss plus to less the dryness using Regaine foam. I had no side effects so far but for some time I had some chest pain when started using finasteride but I wasn't sure if it was finasteride or because I started to go the gym doing bench press. I kept on the medication and today I have no chest pain or any other side effects "so far".

Having more hair for me, really made me a better person, better father, better worker, and a better athlete who likes doing a lot of sports. Do not give up on your hair and please do your research guys and trust your decisions.

Thanks again for this wonderful network!

  4. 6 months is still half way. I had good growth within 6 months with Dr. Koray and was on fin everyday.

Just little tips that worked for me

    • Let your hair grow longer in length for a couple of months and you should feel a difference in coverage since you hair is 66 micron (better than mine 59 micron).
    • Use regaine foam twice a day if you can to stimulate faster growth.

  5. Month 4 Update

    Hello guys,

I started to wear less hat as my native thin hair got a bit longer. I still see sprouts and small hairs everywhere but it is not really adding any fuller look. I started to like the hairline because it kind of covered my unnatural hairline from the first surgery although the hairs there are thin and colorless. I am not sure if I am on track or not but I know 4 month is still early. Donor area is looking great and I am thinking in 4 or 5 months to have SMP on my strip scar.  I would appreciate your comments and feedback.

  6. Quick Update: 3.5 Month

I started to see some growth, hairs look good at specific angles with flash, and pretty bald from the top view without flash. Pictures attached to see what I mean. Donor area is very good but noticed tiny patchy areas after a haircut.

When I met Dr. Koray he told me he will try to hide the old hairline (from the first transplant) and I think it's already hidden behind the new one with many single grafts that I like so far. They are still very thin hoping it will mature and fill in in the coming months.

Still using fin and minox foam.

  7. It does not look so normal. Maybe the bleeding post op causing this. Did he follow post instructions as per the clinic? For example, applying some sort of cream to soften the scabs for 15-20mins and then wash it off?

  8. 3 Months Update

I am still bald but I am noticing many sprouts here and there. I know it very early to judge but I see others on YouTube and here in the forums where they have a much defined hairline by month 3. When I zoom in into my temples for example I see many sprouts but it's not really defining the hairline when I look at the mirror as I expected it to be by month 3. I also noticed (when I zoom in) little thick stubborn transplanted hairs here and there that did not get longer nor shed and not sure if these are dead follicles. Right temple has more sprouts than the left one and donor area looking good to me. Dr. Koray told me that I will need another visit to cover up the crown area but I don't want to think about it now.

Please let me know your thoughts!

I am still on fin 1mg everyday and foam Regaine once a day.

  9. 2 Month and 18 Days Update

Not gonna lie, this ugly duckling stage got me depressed. Time is really going slow for me. I am noticing some hairs sprouting but not sure if they are the transplanted ones. Donor area recovered well but I feel donor hairs are thinner than before. Below some pictures at different lighting.
I am still on 1mg fin everyday and Regaine foam before going to sleep.
