What's so wrong about going to the Doctor? Perhaps you don't want your family to find out...
-
Yeah, going bald while young is traumatic.
But, remember, a chick that is more interested in the looks than in the person is very probably not worth one's time.
Also, having a healthy lifestyle: eating varied food(following the nutritional pyramid), physically exercising every day or at least every other day, and taking the sun, will maintain a healthy appearance and mind state.
If you are side-effects free, finasteride and minoxidil can help stop your hair-loss, and today's hair transplants are incomparable to the 1980/90's ineffective transplants, if you visit the correct surgeon, that is.
So hope is not lost. And all those bi*·hes that reject you because of your baldness can go stick a pile of Vaselined hairline up their ↓ss!

Cardboard cutter.
Definitely 0.25 is better for starting, if no side-effects show, you can augment the dosage. Don't do it unless you have done a general endocrine examination before and are being supervised by a doctor.
-
I don't see the relationship between hairloss and death. Hairloss and the shallowness of society on the other side...
-
Beware though, high levels of vitamin D can be dangerous and even fatal. Fish oil generally contains sufficient quantities of vitamin D.
-
People without side-effects tend not to complain on the internet, therfore an accurate or at least estimated ratio of unaffected vs. affected finasteride side-effects incurring patients is difficult if not impossible.
-
That's more a cultural phenomenon than anything else. In some place people make fun of homosexuals or even down syndrome sufferers.
-
thats the unlucky thing, NONE of my family have any baldness nor down the line just unlucky!
Ehm, that's actually very luck of you. Perhaps the baldness isn't going beyond the Norwood/Hamilton 4 scale!
Regardless, you should consult online with Dr. Devroye(in Brussels Belgium), or any other of the recommended Doctors in this site, before taking action. Perhaps you are not even suffering from Male Pattern Baldness.
-
Thanks for the response. I take finasteride but in small amounts, 0.25 mg every three days, because of the side-effects. I doubt I'd ever ingest Dutasteride if the side effects are worse.
I'll hopefully finally have an appointment with a recommended Dr. of this site (Dr. Jean Devroye) to check if HT is viable.
-
That is very nice of you. Thanks for sharing your experience. By the way, how is it going with Dutasteride, I've read that it is much more powerful than finasteride.
Are you ingesting it so that new hair grows out of the newly implanted grafts, or is it to maintain the remaining DHT receptive follicules?
It seems from your pre-operational pictures that the remaining DHT receptive hairs are scant. That's why I ask...
-
Thank you, Gasto for taking the time to comment. FUE, like FUT, is just another way to obtain follicles that are used in the transplantation process. The transplant part of the procedure is the same regardless of which method is used.

Thanking me for commenting? It is me who should be grateful!
Why is it that FUE is generally more expensive than FUT?
-
How was it during the operation? Painful, any anxiety?
I am assuming it was FUT, I've heard FUE is much less painfull.
-
I thought that FUE was better for initial hairline balding...
-
low quantity of grafst procedure. I wonder if it is worth it, given that his donor area is now diminished.
-
Good luck, I hope you show some pictures!
-
I thought Norwood/Hamilton 5 were hopeless even with hair transplant, but now I realize I was wrong!
-
It's not too expensive if one cuts the propecia pill into 4 parts.
-
I use the %5 lotion twice a day, six sprays.
-
I am 28. Thanks for the advice. Combing my hair helps cover the receding sidelines. But because of the side-effects of finasteride I take .25 mg every three days, minoxidil 5% and biotin shampoo and tablets.
-
Last one was just to fill in the crown a little bit . No need to get FUT for this small procedure. At this point, my hair is looking damn good so it's just icing on the cake
I've heard that for receding hairline young patients, FUE is better suited because it is a minor procedure, but I've heard that FUT has greater yields. Is it possible to use FUT for a receding hairline (Norwood 2)?
-
MrJobi, I see you have 3 FUT and one FUE, why did you change to FUE at the 4th hair transplant?
-
The only alternative is dutasteride, but the side-effects are stronger.
-
You are not alone. All people have side-effects from any medication. And even healthy athletic people like me have to deal with medication for hair loss treatment, in my case finasteride .25 mg every three days and minoxidil to applications every day.
For nutritional supplement, ingest biotin, Ginseng and cod liver oil and shower my hair with biotin. I also sleep with aloe vera and olive oil on my scalp. I occasionally pour some wet dog food in my scalp as well.
-
I had some wierd head nerve impulses at the back of my head, I still have not figured out if it was Minoxidil of Finasteride.
25, Receeding hairline, taking its toll on me

Finasteride is a full blown hormonal treatment. Hormones play a huge roll in humour and emotional settings, not to mention in sexuality.
