I've read somewhere that proylene glycol in minoxidil can harm the grafts. Is this true?
-
I'm not sure about too many specifics on things like the length of the donor area. I asked Dr Feller, and said that I have about 10% more than the 3000 grafts I paid for.
-
I understand that there's a very small percentage of people who never shed their newly transplanted hair after a few weeks, and forgo the resting period. Anyone here like that, or know anyone who did?

Thanks for the pics, Doc. I went to www.fellermedicaldata.com and saw this quote,
"If procedure is booked within 1 week of consultation with Dr. Feller
the cost is $4,750 no matter how large the session is beyond 1000 grafts"
Is this for real?

Numbers? You mean the amount of grafts?
-
You mean high on the sides? It doesnt matter; I won't lose the hair there anyway. It's just not in the genes.

Thanks Bill. Here are 2 pics taken about a month before the procedure.

This is a partial view of the donor scar and the recipient area after having about a 3200 graft transplant with Dr Feller. I'm not going to make a comment; i'm curious on what you guys have to say. Those larger scabs are from an infection that had pus under the skin that was drained with shampooing with GraftCyte. I was concerned about losing the grafts there, but I do see hairs poking through the scabs. Tomorrow I have to see Dr Feller to remove the staples. Did anyone have a sore scalp after their procedure where no grafts were placed? Right above my donor scar up to the crown area is sore, and some hair shed after the 2nd day. Still some sheds, but not as much, but the scalp in that area is still sore. Anyone experience this? By the way, I was not totally bald in that whole area. A lot was shaved, and grafts were placed in that area as well as reconstructing my hairline. Here are the pic links:

The 3000+ graphs are healing nicely now on day 6, and i've been using GraftCyte shampoo sometimes twice a day at the front, and at th donor area. Problem is, I received my grafts from the middle top to front area. Now my hair behind all that is shedding! The scalp at that area is also sore, and I have bumps there. I've continued the use of Doctor Lee's 15% Xandrox only in that area, and not at the graft sites. How is this happening now? It's too soon for shock fallout, and its not even in the area where the grafts were placed. A few months back, I started using a "regrowth" shampoo that had Ketincozole in it, along with a bunch of other ingredients. I was told to leave it in for 5 minutes at least 3 times a week. Hair started shedding massively in that same area, with bumps and was sore just like now. I immediately stopped the shampoo, and the scalp healed after a few days, and a few months later, the hair returned. Now with this shedding, most of the hairs that are shed are tapered at the end, with a smal white bulb at the end. Almost possibly the same hairs that just returned from the shed of that regrowth shampoo. I've never had irritation from minoxidil before, so I doubt its from that. Could it be the GraftCyte? I use nothing else on that area.

I wasnt given antibiotics, and there are no consultants, just the receptionists and the doctor. He's a great guy, and did a great job, just would like to speak to him directly. Looks like it'll be awesome when it grows in.

By the way, weblog is just setup. There are only 2 pics, but let me know what you think.

Great, the oozing stopped the day after. But now I see that there is a yelowish-whitish patch of scalp in between the grafts. Looks like pus under the skin. Not oozing. I tried caling the oofice, but I got his receptionist, and she told me to use a warm wet cloth on it to draw out the "yucky" stuff out. I asked if it'll ruin the grafts, and she said no. I'm hoping this isnt an infection which wil hinder the growth. It's not red or anything, just a whit patch about 1" around.

I just had a procedure done today that consiste of 3000 grafts by Dr Feller. All went well, and the recipient area looks great. But tonight, I noticed that 2 or 3 areas of the recipient site has a small bubble of yellowish clear fluid, and one area has reddish bubble. Is this normal? I didnt touch the recipient site at all. Seems to of appeared right after taking Vicodin.
