  1. You do that Bill, boy i came here for some answers and support when i didn't understand after asking the secretary, and you started right away with condesending questions like" any reason why you're posting questions like that here" or" we don't appreciate" do you think i posted these questions to spite you? I already asked the secretary first and when i didn't get satisfactory answers i came here. As u know these procedures are stressful and not easy. I would figure that the moderator of a messageboard on this topic would understand and perhaps be a little more helpful than condesending.
  2. No, i actually would like to delete the thread, but didn't know how. My surgery is booked for sept 14.
  3. By the way, i'm not too concerned with the cost; I just want as many as I can get since I dont plan on getting a 3rd procedure.
  4. Bill, Yes, the reason was for answers I wasn't understanding from the secretary. Anyway, I spoke to her again and I guess they had me down for 1500 which was in error. So all is well.
  5. Why is it when you get a transplant procedure your'e required to get an HIV and a hepatitus C test, but when you get major surgery youre only required to get regular bloodwork done?
  6. Thanks, Spex. Its hard to realize the progress unless you look at the before and afters. Do you think that the very frontal area will fill in? I noticed that I still have some hairs that are still in the scalp from when the grafts were put in. Is this normal?
  7. Nah, as usual, you guys are right; i'm starting to see the overall picture, and it does seem to be filling in. At this point i'm about 50% grown in, and if it continues this way, i'll be very happy.
  8. This is a 6 month (so far) album on my procedure done with Dr Feller on 9/18/07. Questions/comments welcome!
  9. I'm not doubtful; I just intended to show my progress, by when I read posts like the one from PGP, I tend to get nervous. But PGP thought it was more than 5 months.
  10. For the record, i'm at 5 months 1 week, not 6 months. Dr Feller said that i'm about 40% grown in so far, and about 10% more each month after. I have said that myself that a lot of people seem to have more growth even at the 5 month mark, and I really hope that a lot more will grow in, because I spent a dumpload of money, and went through a lot to get this done.
  11. Filling in, albeit slower then I (or anyone) would like. Had a followup visit, and Dr Feller said i'm right where I should be. No Flash With flash
  12. I know; many of you are probably thinking to themselves that I should of read this before I posted. I did. But looking at alot of other people's pics shows some serious growth at month 4-5, the "More impatience/doubt. This didn't work and Frustration (looking in mirror every hour), so I feel like the results will be not too good, although i'm sure i'm jumping the gun, and i'm probably a slower grower than those people in the pics.
  13. But the area that I was describing isnt infected now. It was infected a few days after the procedure, and i'm sure it was infected because there was pus involved. Now over 4 months later, the only area thats smooth is that area. All other areas are sprouting hair.
  14. As said most who replied to my last post regarding unshed and inactive hairs, I waited for Dr Feller to respond to the post. Perhaps he didn't catch that post. I also PMed him and emailed his website, but I never received an answer. Hopefully he will see this post since his name is in the subject. Here is a copy of that post: "In the recent past, I posted questions on the black dots and hairs from the grafts that never fell out after 3.5 months. It is now 4 months, and decided to try something. I still have the blunt hairs that never grew, and they still slip out with a hook at the end where it goes into the scalp. I started grabbing those black dots with my nail and noticed that it changed from a black dot to a hair sprout. I got the tweezers, and pulled on it. It was like something out of a cartoon; the hair kept getting longer and longer until it came out of the scalp. The top and bottom of the hair was blunt; as if it was cut on both ends. There were quite a few that did this, all easily slipping out of the scalp while it kept getting longer. Obviously these are "dead" hairs, and I wonder what the deal is here?" There is a new situaion involving an infection I had on one side of my head where grafts were placed when I first received the procedure. I had a white patch at the site of infecton which was actually a patch of pus that took a few days to heal. I was washing it with GraftCyte shampoo, which helped it heal quicker. Anyway, fast foward to today (4 months, 3 weeks later), and just in that spot there are no hairs sprouting at all. All that's there is a few blunt cut non active hairs. everywhere else that grafts were place are growing, albeit sparse. Did the infection damage the grafts?
  15. This is my 4.5 month update taken with and without a flash. The pic taken with the flash shows hair brushed back, and without the flash it's foward. Honestly judging from the other peoples pics, I though at this point i'd have more growth, although I know it's still early. With flash Without Flash
  16. Yes, the Dr will clear things up for me. I PMed him, and still waiting for a reply. Hopefully he'll respond to this thread or my PM. Sending him email via his website results in speaking to his receptionist, but i'd much rather speak to him. Bill, maybe you can change the title to include his name so he can see this thread?
  17. PGP, when you pulled on them, did they keep gettig longer before they came out?
  18. I did ask, but not about this. I asked about the hooked hair that just slips out. I wasnt able to speak with him, just his receptionist who told me to leave them alone. When I asked if it would hurt the follicle, she just said that at this point nothing would. I know Dr Feller reads these threads, and so hopefully he can shed some light on this subject.

  20. Thanks all for the responses. I guess it's that deep down I know already what everyone said, but needed to hear it for reinforcement.
  21. Really. Were they short, blunt cut, and thick? I dont think these will grow, because I think theyre the original hairs that were in the grafts when Dr Feller put them in. A light tug, and they come right out.
  22. No, i'm hoping they shed soon so the new hairs dont get ingrown or infected. I know they're not growing and are just sitting there, so i'd like em gonw to make room for the new hairs.
